We are committed to continuously seeking safer, environmentally responsible, cost-effective, and improved packaging solutions for shipping our worms. Our objective is to ensure the highest standard of care during transit so that our worms arrive in optimal condition.

Shipping and Handling Procedure:

Worms are shipped with a small quantity of biological material, including castings and bedding mix.
A minimal amount of peat moss is added to enhance padding, control moisture, and provide oxygen.
The worms are double bagged in a vented, fully compostable bag made from corn pulp.
An additional layer of shredded cardboard is placed inside a cardboard box for further protection.
Warning labels indicating “live worms” and “keep out of sunlight” are applied to the exterior of the package.
The packaged worms are stored in a temperature-controlled environment until transferred to the carrier.

Kindly allow a minimum of 48 hours prior to your desired pick-up time for order processing.

We have a free replacement live worm guarantee. We strive to supply you with live healthy worms. While it is normal for a few worms to not make the journey alive. Anything over 10 fatality rate is rare. We always include a 10% buffer when shipping worm. If your worms arrive dead, email a date-stamped photo to
wearehere@tukofarm.cloud
for a replacement. The photo must be taken on the day the worms arrive for the guarantee to be valid. So please check the worms as soon as they arrive.

Succinct Version

Place all worm orders by noon Saturday for shipment the following Monday or Tuesday. Shipments may be delayed in extreme temperatures for quality protection; you will be notified if rescheduling is needed.

Be home for delivery or leave a note for shaded placement.
Set out a cooler with a towel-wrapped ice pack or hand warmer.
Bring worms inside immediately and rehydrate with unchlorinated water.
Feed lightly during the first week.

Worms are shipped with castings, bedding mix, minimal peat moss, and double-bagged in vented compostable bags with protective cardboard. Packages are labeled and kept temperature-controlled until shipment.

For local pick-up, contact us and allow at least 48 hours for processing.

We guarantee live worms. If more than 10% arrive dead, email a date-stamped photo from delivery day for a free replacement.
